In light of recent events that have occurred in the past two days, I just feel the need to get this off my chest.
Yesterday Major Nidal Malik Hasan of the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas decided to open fire on base. According to http://www.cnn.com/ his cousin made a statement saying that Hasan was terrified of having to deploy overseas. Today in my own backyard, a man by the name of Jason Rodriguez decided to go back to the company he had been fired from two years ago and open fire in that office building. According to http://www.cfnews13.com/ as the suspect was being taken into custody, he shouted out to reporters "they left me to rot".
I don't understand why these people think that their lives are so bad the only way to make it better is to go around killing people you work with or used to work with. What is that going to solve? Your situation surely isn't going to improve; you've just made it a million times worse. If it is that bad and you don't know what do, go ask for help, runaway and go AWOL from the military, move somewhere else and start another life. Killing these people didn't improve your situation, and you didn't really "get back" at anyone. Now you just have a whole nation scratching their heads and not really caring if you walk away alive.
